From Jung Sang-hoon to Kim Young-ok in "The Pork Cutlets"

The actors of "The Pork Cutlets" are confident in comic chemistry.

MBC's two-part short drama "The Pork Cutlets" the script reading site on the 4th.

"The Pork Cutlets" is a human comedy-drama about the head of a village who is in charge of the neutralization surgery of Baek-goo, a Casanova dog in Onghwa Village, who undergoes vasectomy overnight. It was selected as the best short story in the 2023 MBC Drama Screenplay Contest.

Director Kim Young-jae-II and writer No Ye-ri, as well as actors Jung Sang-hoon, Jeon Hye-bin, Lee Jung-ok, Kim Young-ok, Kim Soo-jin-IV, Lee Ji-hoon-II, Kim Mi-hwa-I, Park Kyung-hye, and Jordan attended the script reading.

First of all, Jung Sang-hoon, who plays chief Jeong Ja-wang of Onghwa Village, showed witty performances, from the appearance of the head of the village taking care of the village's great affairs to the appearance of being in the same situation as Baekgu, who is about to undergo neutering surgery. Jeon Hye-bin, who plays the role of the head's wife, Im Sang-ae, melted into the drama with life-oriented acting.

Lee Joong-ok plays the role of Jung Sang-hoon's best friend and the second-in-command aiming for the next village head. Kim Young-ok, the 'people's grandmother', plays the role of Choon-sim who loves her grandchildren Bok-cheol and her dog Baekgoo, to a charismatic big adult in Onghwa Village.

On top of that, actors and actresses in the scene who seemed to have relocated to Onghwa Village were enthusiastic. Kim Soo-jin-IV, who raises her puppy Sharon like a child, Lee Ji-hoon-II, who plays the role of Mi-sook's husband and urologist Hyeon-cheol, Kim Mi-hwa-I as mood maker, Park Kyung-hye as the youngest Jeong-ja of Onghwa Village, and Jordan, who plays Bok-cheol, Baekgoo's best friend and grandson of Choon-shim, showed off their individuality.

In this regard, the production team of "The Pork Cutlets" said, "The actors' acting and chemistry heated up the script reading scene. It will be a drama that encapsulates all the fun laughter, warm family love, and emotion along with the performance of the actors across generations".

"The Pork Cutlets" will premiere at 9:50 PM on July 5th.
